Styling "Spring" on the East Coast

I don't know about everywhere else, but in New Jersey, this weather has been absolutely crazy. After it hit the 60s in January, February dropped twenty-four inches of snow on us, and last week it hit 80 before settling in the 50s again. I am currently not sure whether I should turn up the heat or open all my windows! Needless to say, this weather has really challenged me to bump my winter-to-spring transitional style up a few weeks and get creative. One way to transition to spring is to incorporate some lighter materials and florals. While it may not yet be appropriate to rock a tank top, a tank top with a light sweater is completely plausible. I'm all about useful pieces, so I'll let you in on a little secret about my flowered trench here - it's actually a dress! (And yes - I know I could use a tan). Excuse the poor quality photos, my Canon is broken!
